Let It Die

Sometimes I crave you

Just like the other substances that I’ve kicked

But you’re a bit more difficult to come off

And sometimes I wish I could hold you in silence for hours

But physicality isn’t our style

We havn’t touched for months

Just communicate through poetry and music

And cigarette smoke signals

It makes it more of an enigma

You say, ‘love is dead’

And I wish you were right

But girl,  you’re so wrong

I don’t know how to let it die
